About
Vision
The creative industry is a competitive advantage for Ireland’s digital economy in the global marketplace.
The ACTIvE Cluster is global gateway to premier creative goods and services provided by the Audio-Visual, Design and Sound/Music Sectors to the global marketplace.
Mission
The ACTIvE Cluster is a gateway to Ireland’s premier, specialist service providers in the creative industry.
A hub and spoke e-cluster model, it currently comprises organic “hotspots” of creative enterprise and innovation activity. Established in the North West region, the cluster currently comprises four Atlantic regions and will expand nationally and to all Island.
The mission is to develop a sustainable creative industry on the island of Ireland, over a ten year period. This will be achieved through collective stakeholder engagement, market positioning and prioritisation, cross industry market activation and strategic, sustained investment in the enterprises in the cluster to facilitate market sustainable market expansion and growth from their regional HQs.
The commercialisation and positive exploitation of indigenous intellectual property into global markets is a central tenet.

Corporate Governance 2024-2025
The Founder directors are David Stevens (Errigal AV/XR Studios), Stephen Fagan (Studio Meala Animation), John Higgins (Chair, An Bealach Clg).
The Directors are engaged in the cluster on a voluntary basis.
Jessica Fuller (Úcaire Consulting) is the company secretary and is an ordinary member.
The Company Secretary is currently engaged in cluster activity on a voluntary basis.

→ providing services and products into the value and supply chain of all of the priority industries as identified in the smart specialisation strategy and regional enterprise plans.

The ACTIvE Cluster objective is to develop a sustainable creative industry on the island of Ireland through collective stakeholder collaboration on investment in innovation and enterprise development to drive global market reach, access and growth.

Background
The Atlantic CreaTech Innovation and Enterprise Cluster Clg – ACTIvE Cluster – was established in March 2024.
The Cluster is an evidence-informed intervention
to address a defined gap and need in the creative industry ecosystem in the regions and nationally. It is enterprise led.
Within the creative industry ecosystem in the regions, data identifies three priority sectors, with active enterprises that have significant global market growth potential as part of the digital economy.
The priority sectors in the ACTIvE Cluster currently are Audio-Visual, Design and Music/Sound.
